Order Checker FAQ

Last updated:

What kinds of orders can it flag?

It includes checks for payments, addresses, requested delivery dates, temperature bands and deliveries to remote islands, noshi gift wrapping, fraud risk and high-value orders. Each store chooses which checks to use. The full list, with descriptions, is in Settings > Rules in the app.

Will the app stop or ship orders on its own?

When a problem is found, the app places a Shopify fulfillment hold on that order. For each rule you choose whether to “Hold fulfillment” or “Review only”.

Holds are placed per reason category. A category’s hold is released once every reason in it has been reviewed, marked “No action needed”, or cleared automatically because the order changed. Using “Mark as paid” on an order awaiting payment releases the payment hold, as long as no other open payment reason remains. The app never makes the final decision on whether an order ships.

I marked a reason as reviewed, but the hold is still there

Holds are placed per reason category (payment, address, delivery date and so on). If another unreviewed reason remains in the same category, that category’s hold stays. Review every reason in the category (or mark it “No action needed”), or use “Release all holds”. If the order’s fulfillment orders were split or merged, the release may wait until the next daily check.

Which delivery-scheduling apps are supported?

We don’t keep a per-app list. In Settings > Field mapping, scan your orders to find where the requested delivery date is stored, then assign it on screen. You don’t have to wait for us to support your app.

Note that values stored in an area reserved for another app may not be readable by other apps, due to how Shopify works.

Are older orders checked?

On install, the app imports unfulfilled orders from the last 60 days. The app does not request access to orders older than 60 days, so earlier orders are not imported.

Do you store customers’ personal information?

We do not store customers’ names, addresses or phone numbers on our servers. They are fetched from Shopify when you open a screen. See the app’s privacy policy, linked at the end of this page, for what is stored.

How much does it cost? Can I try it for free?

See the pricing table. Development stores can use every feature for free.

What happens if I go over my monthly limit?

Checks and fulfillment holds keep running as normal for the rest of the month. You are never charged automatically for going over. Plan & usage in the app shows a notice when you are over the limit; if it keeps happening, consider a higher plan.

How do I cancel?

Cancel on Shopify’s plan selection page, opened from Plan & usage in the app, or uninstall the app from the Shopify admin. All billing goes through Shopify, so there is nothing to cancel with us separately.

What happens to my data when I uninstall?

24 hours after you uninstall (in case you reinstall), the store’s data saved in the app’s database is deleted. For details, including where error monitoring data is processed, see the app’s privacy policy linked at the end of this page.

What happens to fulfillment holds when I uninstall?

They stay in place. Releasing them automatically would put orders nobody has reviewed yet back into a shippable state.

You can release a remaining hold from the Shopify admin: open the order and release the hold there. The reason for the hold is shown in the admin as well.

Is it available in English?

Yes — Japanese and English. It follows your store’s language setting, and you can also switch languages in the app.
